Alex Bodishbaugh is an interdisciplinary artist based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has a background in graphic design, which appears in her bold, typography focused paintings. Her work often features mantras that explore intuition and confidence in oneself such as ‘trust your gut’.
Alex is intrigued by juxtaposition and duality. She pairs unlikely colors, materials and subject matter, pushing the viewer to rethink norms. Her work is simultaneously entertaining and expressive.
As well as an artist, Alex is a curator and producer. Her most recent project, Nostalgia, transformed an old Banana Republic into a pop up art gallery, featuring 27 artists and over 100 contemporary works.
